Description
Richard Gordon Rippon was Second Officer on the Australian Hospital Ship Centaur when it was sunk by a Japanese submarine on 14th May 1943. This recording is a reading of a letter he wrote, while recovering in a Brisbane hospital, to his father in which he gives an account of his experience of the sinking.
