Fellows, T Howard (Lieutenant, d.1965)
Description
A scrapbook kept by Lt Fellows' mother during his war service years. The scrapbook contains poems, newspaper and magazine clippings, photographs, telegrams, an essay, menu cards, receipts and copies of letters written by Fellows to his mother and other family members. The letters describe his basic training, the voyage to the Middle East, his promotion through the ranks, the sense of humour of many of the Australian soldiers, the anomalies between officers, sergeants and other ranks, and the fighting he was involved in.
