Panamberi River, New Guinea. 1945-08-05. NX86671 Private S. Hill, 2/7th Australian Infantry Battalion, AIF, takes a drink from his water bottle to which is attached part of his supply of grenades. Private Hill was a member of a six day patrol into enemy territory in an effort to seize a strategical position astride the main enemy line of communication.
