Gironde, France. 1944-08. Mosquito aircraft of RAF Coastal Command attacked four Dornier 217's carrying glider bombs, off the Mouth of the Gironde on the evening of 1944-08-09, destroying two of the enemy aircraft. A Mosquito flies away from the burning mass of wreckage that was once a Dornier 217.
