Noboricho, Hiroshima, Japan. 1947-06. Young Japanese children and their teacher assemble around makeshift desks in the interior of the extensively damaged Protestant (formerly Methodist) Church. After the dropping of the atomic bomb on 1945-08-06 the church building was used as a kindergarten.
