Description
Left Queensland in December 1914 as a junior officer with the 5th Light Horse Regiment; arrived Egypt January 1915; the Light Horse trained with horses in Egypt until Gallipoli and then went to Gallipoli as infantry; British troops at Suvla bay; rifles and artillery at Gallipoli; machine guns; jam tin bombs; ships involved with Gallipoli campaign; barrels of wine coming ashore from a ship as it broke up; Damascus; Turkish Camel Corps.
