Description
'The Queensland Marine Defence Force' by N.S. Pixley. This manuscript is a history of the Queensland Marine Defence Force from its inception in 1882 on the recommendations of Sir William Jervois until Federation. The manuscript does include a small amount of post-Federation information. It also includes a 1904 Naval organisation chart and information of the end of Colonial Navies and the transfer of ship to the new Commonwealth Navy.
