Description

Members of the Cambodian Peoples Armed Forces (CPAF) detecting and clearing mines from a country roadside. Australian sappers attached to the United Nations Training Authority in Cambodia (UNTAC) were posted to Mine Clearance Training Units (MCTU) and gave courses in mine identification, minefield marking and land mine clearance to the local people. Note the green Claymore anti-personnel charge (with white markers either side) in the roped off area in bottom right and the red warning sign on the central post.
