Dakhla, Western Sahara. Distant view from the "beach" of the UN Southern Sector Headquarters. This headquarters controlled the UN personnel from MINURSO (United Nations Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara) operating from the teamsites established throughout the sector. The Dakhla teamsite was located in close proximity to the ocean.
