Description
Battambang, Cambodia, 1993-05-25. Two members of Delta Company, the 2/4 Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (2/4RAR), serving with the United Nations Transitional Authority in Cambodia (UNTAC), on night guard duty near the UNTAC barracks. The two soldiers are occupying a sandbagged defensive position covered by camouflage netting. They are armed with a 7.62mm NATO calibre MAG58 machine gun and with 5.56mm calibre Steyr AUG rifles equipped with telescopic sights. (Original 35mm positive housed in AWM Archive Store)
