Description
Studio portrait of 14325 Sergeant (Sgt) Fawcett Dinsdale Head, 1st Australian Wireless Squadron. A school teacher from Mont Albert, Victoria prior to enlistment, Sgt Head embarked from Melbourne on RMS Morea on 30 May 1916. Later promoted to Sergeant-Major, he became ill whilst serving in the Middle East and was invalided to India. He subsequently returned to Australia on 16 August 1918 and was medically discharged.
