A topographic map with colour on linen titled 'Egypt; Mudiria Qaliubia; Cairo Town' covering part of Cairo and the nearby desert. Scale 1:50,000, sheet 1-11 N.E. (Cairo East), reproduced by Survey Department, Egypt, 1911(Oct). Depicts boundaries, bridges, populated areas, quarries, railways, roads and other markers. Information on the map is in both English and Arabic. Annotated by hand with the number '45' and various letters marking relevant landmarks. Handwritten on the back is '1914' and '1915'. Other features include the numbers '103', '1', '3DRL2316[50/1]' and a blue stamp with 'HQRS New Zealand; Division; 27. Dec. 1914'. Map accompanied by a blue sheet of paper with handwritten details concerning the different areas and markings on the map.
