File relating to the First World War service of General Sir Joseph John Talbot Hobbs. This files consists of an original letter written in French by French naturalist and entomologist, Eugene Boullet, to Sir Joseph John Talbot Hobbs thanking him for his assistance in salvaging Boullet's butterfly collections, works of art, and other personal souvenirs during the First World War. Also included is the envelope in which it was delivered, a calling card from Boullet and an English translation of the letter.
