Barbara James, AWAS, interviewed by Alison Viney Houghton for her "The Age of Innocence 1937-1947" oral history project about the experiences of young people during the Second World War. Originally from SA, Barbara James served with the AWAS as a "spotter" (searchlight operator) in the 58th Anti-Aircraft Searchlight Battery, based in WA.
