Bertha Alexander Ross
Description
Portrait of Bertha Alexander Ross who joined the Women's Royal Australian Naval Service (WRANS) and became the Admiral's driver in Sydney following the death of her son. Able Seaman Wallace Montrose Ross, Royal Australian Navy was killed in action on 9th August 1942 when the HMAS Canberra (I) sunk off the coast off Savo Island in the Solomon Islands.
