Description
Studio portrait of 2556 Private Charles Henry "Harry" Bradhurst, 18 Battalion, AIF. An Electrical Engineer prior to the outbreak of war, Bradhurst enlisted with the Australian Naval & Military Expeditionary Force in August 1914 serving as 820 Private Harry Bradhurst. In August 1915 he enlisted in the AIF and on 2 November 1915 embarked from Sydney on HMAT Euripides with the 6th Reinforcements to the 18th Battalion. Bradhurst was killed at Pozieres on 26 July 1916. He has no known grave and his name is listed on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial.
