Studio portrait of Lieutenant (Lt) John Thomas Pocknell MC, 24th Battalion, holding a swagger stick in left hand. Lt Pocknell was awarded the Military Cross for action in July 1918, in which he was wounded. His uniform features his MC ribbon and two wound stripes.
