Studio portrait of Clarence Swann Padman
Description
Studio portrait of 6891 Private (Pte) Clarence Swann Padman, 8th Field Ambulance Brigade. A teacher prior to enlistment, Pte Padman was posted to the 15th Field Ambulance Brigade in February 1916 and in August 1916 was transferred to the 8th Machine Gun Company. He was killed in action on 29 November 1916 and buried between Geudecourt and Le Transloy. In 1920 he was reburied at Bancourt British Cemetery near Bapaume.
