Description
Collection relating to the Second World War experience of Mrs Eliza Morris, Goomburra and Dalby, Queensland, 1940.
Collection consists of one letter from Mrs Eliza Morris to the Commonwealth Sub-Treasury, dated 9 June 1940. The letter originally enclosed a cheque for 100 pounds to contribute to the war effort. The letter was returned to her, signed by the Dalby Manager for the Queensland National Bank, as an interim receipt.
Eliza Morris was a wife and mother on a farm at Goomburra, near Allora, Queensland. Members of her family were involved in the war.
