Letter from W Carrington to the Editor of the Sydney Morning Herald, Leichhardt, 1 July. In the letter the writer mentions an enclosed copy of the official message to Mr W West informing them that their son was awarded the military medal and a photo of 3146 Private Leonard Walter West and asked that they be published in the paper. Attached is the copy of the letter. The location of the photograph is unknown.
