Description
Heart shaped enamel metal medallion for 526th Brigade Support Battalion. The front features a solid black background with a helicopter over feathered wings. The helicopter is surrounded by US unit patches and rank slides and pips.
On the arches of heart is text: WORLD WAR II and VIETNAM.
Along the point of the heart is OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM and OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM.
On the reverse is a yellow and red rook with a fleur de lis and wings with text, BEST BY PERFORMANCE.
History / Summary
This coin was gifted by Major Witcard Seide to Major Roneel Chandra in 2016. Chandra was operating as a Medical Officer at the Role 2 Enhanced Hospital, Taji as part of the Task Group Taji III Health Company.
