Radio presentation in Vietnam DPR/TV/542
The Australian public has co-operated with the Australian forces in Vietnam in assisting and improving the living standards of the South Vietnamese people. At a ceremony in Vung Tau this week, three visiting members of the Defend Australia Committee presented portable radios to the local Junior Boys Military Academy. The Commander of the 1st Australian Logistic Support Group, Lieutenant-Colonel Chambers, introduced the three committee members to the cadets at the presentation ceremony. The Defend Australia Committee had raised more than 5,000 dollars to pay for educational projects and sporting equipment at the Academy. The radios will be used for recreational and educational aids for the Academy cadets. The Academy members distributed the portable radios, a young Vietnamese cadet thanked the "Peoples of Australia' for their gift. The cadets then invited the Defend Australia Committee members to inspect the Academy buildings and facilities.
