CREST OF "F" FOR FREDDIE, A VENTURA AIRCRAFT OF NO. 464 SQUADRON RAAF OF BOMBER COMMAND BASED AT RAF STATION METHWOLD. THE EMBLEM SHOWS AN EMU AND A KIWI SITTING ON A BOOMERANG INSCRIBED "PER ARDUA AD AUSTRALIAN". THE BOMBS REPRESENT THE NUMBER OF OPERATIONAL FLIGHTS, THE FIRST OF WHICH WAS PAINTED AFTER THE EINDHOVEN RAID ON 1942-06-12, THE SQUADRON'S FIRST BOMBING SORTIE.
