Griffin, Kenneth Harry (Driver, b.1907- d.1981)
Description
Memoir written by by Kenneth Harry Griffin, "Escape from France 1942". Griffin writes about his experiences as a driver with the 2/1 Field Ambulance, his capture in Greece and internment as a prisoner of war in Stalag XVIIIA Wolfsberg Austria. He eventually escaped from Frontstalag 171 at Rouen with the assistance of members of the French resistance. Previously published in "Stand-To" in 1961-62.
