Letter from Albert Baker to the editor
Description
Letter from 658 Sapper Albert Baker, 12th Light Horse Regiment, to the editor, Egypt, 12 February 1916. In his letter, Baker mentions an article from the Sydney Morning Herald of action at Gallipoli and has enclosed a photograph of the action described and offers more photographs if required. Attached to the letter is a newspaper clipping from the Sydney Morning Herald, 28 December 1915 which relates to the shelling of a stranded steamer in the closing days of the Australian occupation of Anzac, and a photograph of this action taken from 'Tabletop'.
