Description
Letter from Mrs Penson to the editor of the Sydney Morning Herald, Wentworthville, 2 April 1916. This letter is regarding mail to “lonely soldiers” and the recent correspondence she had with one such soldier. Included is the letter, dated 26 December 1915, she received from 1013 Trooper John Thornton Dancocks, 2nd Light Horse Brigade. In his letter, Dancocks thanks her for her letter and writes of his experiences in the trenches.
