AERIAL PORT SIDE VIEW OF THE BATTLESHIP USS TEXAS (BB-35). HER GUNS ARE TRAINED TO PORT AS ARE THE MARK 3 FIRE CONTROL RADARS ON THE FIRE CONTROL POSITIONS ON HER FORETOP AND ABAFT THE FUNNEL. HER 5 INCH/51 SECONDARY ARMAMENT HAS BEEN REDUCED FROM SIXTEEN GUNS AT THE OUTBREAK OF WAR TO SIX, THREE OF WHICH ARE VISIBLE IN THEIR CASEMATES ABREAST THE FORWARD SUPERSTRUCTURE. HER ANTI AIRCRAFT ARMAMENT INCLUDES 3 INCH/50 AND 40 MM GUNS AS WELL AS 20 MM OERLIKONS WHICH CAN BE SEEN ABREAST NO 2 14 INCH GUN TURRET, ON THE SHELTER DECK, IN THE FORWARD SUPERSTUCURE, ON TOP OF THE CRANE MAST AND THE MAIN MAST AND ON THE MAIN DECK AMIDSHIPS AND AFT.
