Owen Mk 2/3 Sub-machine Gun. Cut away trigger box top frame marked MK 2/3 OWEN MKI.43 (crossed out) LYSAGHT AUSTRALIA and PATENTED 22.7.4 - and the serial number on the lower arm. The action top is stamped with the serial number and FTR MA/53.
History / Summary
This gun was refurbished at the Lithgow Small Arms factory in 1953 and has been modified with a Mk III barrel and safety catch.
