Snider-Enfield Mk III Cavalry Carbine : New South Wales Public School Cadet Corps
Description
Snider-Enfield Mk III Cavalry Carbine. Lock marked Crown over VR and B.S.A&M.Co over 1885. Breech stamped MkIII. The carbine is half stocked and held to the barrel by one Baddeley band. Butt is marked N.S.W PSCC 1903. It is complete including the leather rear sight cover.
History / Summary
This carbine is marked to the New South Wales Public School Cadet Corps. However they were widely used throughout the Australian colonies by the military (cavalry) and the Police.
