Group portrait of the aircrew of 6 Squadron RAAF at Turnbull Strip in front of one of the squadron's Hudson aircraft. The commanding officer, Wing Commander (Wing Cdr) W G Leer DFC AFC, is in the centre of the front row (in a light coloured shirt). Tom Capell, with Toots the cat on his lap, is the second man on Wing Cdr Leer's left.
