FLIGHT SERGEANT (Flt Sgt) "CAT'S EYES" COLIN ESBERT WEIN OF GAYNDAH, QLD, A PILOT OF NO. 30 (BEAUFIGHTER) SQUADRON RAAF WHO HAD A SUCCESSFUL DAY TAKING PART IN THE GREAT SWOOP ON CAMOUFLAGED JAPANESE SUPPLY BARGES ON THE NORTH AND SOUTH COASTS OF NEW BRITAIN, HELPING TO SMASH TRAFFIC WHICH WOULD HAVE OTHERWISE BEEN A MENACE TO ALLIED ADVANCES. FLT SGT WEIN DIED IN A POW CAMP ON RABAUL, NEW BRITAIN ON 5 MARCH 1944
