WAU, NEW GUINEA. 1942-08-30. NO 6 CAMP, BULOLO VALLEY. MEMBERS OF NO 8 SECTION, 2/5TH INDEPENDENT COMPANY. ALL STORES, EQUIPMENT AND AMMUNITION THAT COULD NOT BE CARRIED WAS DUMPED IN THIS STORE, AND LATER ON 1942-08-30 BURNED IN THE "SCORCHED EARTH" POLICY, WHICH WAS TO DENY TO THE JAPANESE FORCE USE OS SUCH STORES AND EQUIPMENT, AND THE FACILITIES AND INSTALLATIONS OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WAU AND ITS AERODROME.
