View of a house in the village of Hoa Long, which was near the Australian Task Force Base. One of 477 colour 35mm transparencies taken or collected by 2784336 Signalman (Sig) Stuart Lindsay Weller, 104 Signal Squadron, relating to his service in Vietnam between 1967 and 1968. Sig Weller remembers: "The tiles may once have been new, but it was difficult to believe that the house beneath had ever been anything but old. I noticed quite a few houses in Hoa Long had a cleared area in front of them and I’d think this was used to spread the rice harvest on so it could dry in the sun."
