Collection related to 2784336 Signalman Stuart Lindsay Weller, 104 Signal Squadron, and his service in Vietnam between 1967 and 1968.
Description
Portrait of 5714255 Signalman Alan Munro Booker (left) and Sergeant 5411683 Leonard Clifford Keynes (right) in 104 Signal Squadron's signal centre while on Operation Coburg, north of Saigon. One of 477 colour 35mm transparencies taken or collected by 2784336 Signalman Stuart Lindsay Weller, 104 Signal Squadron, relating to his service in Vietnam between 1967 and 1968. Weller notes: "The Signal Centre and its equipment were in a hole under a tent ... If the area was under surveillance from the Viet Cong, with the building out of sight, it was hoped that, should the enemy decide to mortar the area, it wouldn’t be included as a target, because they couldn’t see it."
