Diary relating to the First World War service of 25 Private Thomas James Richards, 1st Australian Field Ambulance. The entries in this diary span the period 24 February to 24 April 1915 and cover his service with the 1st Australian Field Ambulance at Mena, their transfer to the island of Lemnos in early April, and the preparations for the landings at Gallipoli. This diary was originally bound by Richards into the first of four volumes and donated to the Australian War Memorial in 1933.
