Description
Studio portrait of 1569 Private Harold Jeffery, 11th Battalion. Born in Broken Hill, NSW, Pte Jeffery was living in Western Australia when he enlisted in the AIF on 12 November 1914. He embarked at Fremantle, Western Australia on board (A50) HMAT Itonus on 22 February 1915 and was killed in action at Gallipoli on 6th August 1915. He is buried in Shell Green Cemetery, Gallipoli, Turkey.
