Studio portrait of 428908 Flying Officer (FO) David Crofts RAAF, 576 Squadron RAF, of Killara, NSW. FO Crofts enlisted for service in Sydney, NSW, on 2 January 1943. He was posted to the United Kingdom where he was a member of the crew of an Avro Lancaster aircraft and participated in bombing raids of major German cities. FO Crofts returned to Australia and was discharged on 23 November 1945.
