Diary of Lindsay Robert Turner, 1917-1918 (Vol. 2)
Description
Diary relating to the First World War service of Second Lieutenant Lindsay Robert Turner, Australian Field Artillery. The diary contains entries from 17 December 1917 to 5 February 1918 and is the second of seven volumes written by Turner documenting his service during the war. The diary entries cover his departure from Alexandria aboard HMAT Port Sydney A15, the stop at Taranto in Italy, the arrival in England in early January 1918, and his subsequent training at Heytesbury on the Salisbury Plain. The diary appears to have been transcribed from originals at some stage after his service in the war.
