Series 12: Documents related to various campaigns including Gallipoli, Bapaume and Bullecourt

This series comprises correspondence and operation reports written or received by Field Marshal Lord William Birdwood relating to the Bapaume and Bullecourt campaigns on the Western Front in 1917. French operation orders, reports and instructions compiled by Marshal Ferdinand Foch and Marshal Joseph Jacques Joffre are also included. This series also includes a lot of operation reports, correspondence and orders relating to the Gallipoli campaign. The Gallipoli material in this file is often duplicates of items held elsewhere in the Birdwood collection.
