Studio portrait of 6749 Private (Pte) George Eden, 7th Battalion. One of four brothers who served in the First World War, Pte Eden died of wounds in France on 15 August 1918. His brother, 3738 Pte James Frederick Eden, died of pulminory influenza in Sydney in 1920. Their brothers 4831 Pte Henry Robert Eden and 5074 Pte John George Eden survived the war.
