Outdoor informal group portrait including (in foreground, from left): Admiral Guido von Usedom; Emperor Wilhelm II; Enver Pasha (Turkish Minister for War), Vice Admiral Johannes Merten. All three Germans are wearing Turkish uniforms. The fortifications at Hamadi are in the background. Original inscription in German translated here as "The Kaiser at Gallipoli: The Kaiser visiting the Dardenelles fortifications". Kaiser Wilhelm II made a visit to Constantinople and the Gallipoli battlefields, on 15th-16th October 1917.
