Studio portrait of PM3066 Supply Assistant Victor Barclay, HMAS Sydney, with his mother Annie Barclay. A clerk from Thornbury, Victoria, Supply Assisstant Barclay enlisted in the RAN on 4 October 1940. He was killed in action on 20 November 1941, aged 23, when the ship on which he was serving, HMAS Sydney II, was sunk in the Indian Ocean by the German auxiliary cruiser Kormoran.
