Description
Two cartoons drawn by SX6087 Sergeant John Dowie at Tobruk, each featuring a letter written to fellow artist Geoff Shedley on the reverse. Set in 'Centralia', the cartoons follow the adventures of Grant and Fifi escaping the ruthless 'Jig-a-Jig'. Dowie would create one installment of the tale which would be sent to and continued by Shedley in Australia; the cartoons were distributed amongst the troops at Tobruk BHQ. The cartoons are titled "The adventures of Grant" / by "Pizzi" (b&w ink) and "Grant" / by Pizzi (colour ink).
