Studio portrait of Second Lieutenant (2nd Lt) Albert McDermid, Canterbury Company 39th Battalion. Albert McDermid, an engineer of Campsie, NSW, later enlisted in the AIF and embarked as a colour sergeant with the 3rd Battalion. He was subsequently promoted to Captain. He served in the RAAF during the Second World War.
