Corporal (Cpl) Dolly, the No. 1 member of the Aboriginal Women's Hygiene Squad at the 69th Australian Women's Army Service (AWAS) Barracks. Cpl Dolly was in Darwin during the first bombing. According to the original caption "Aboriginals are not allowed in Darwin, and Dolly is very homesick for the place, so some of the AWAS have brought her back a bucket of genuine Darwin sand from Mendel Beach to console her".
