Athletic meeting Nile Kinnick Stadium
Description
At the Nile Kinnick Stadium in Tokyo, the BCOF team of twenty two athletics won the all Japan Meet from eight other teams drawn from various other American formations stationed in Japan. Clarrie Hayes, who twice equalled the Olympic record for the 100 metre dash, was the star of the meeting. Shots of Lieutenant S W Ness, who has a long record of coaching in the Army as well as being a keen athletic himself. He represented NSW at the National Games in Melbourne, VIC. In 1933 and 1939 he was heavy-weight boxing champion of the AIF.
