Presentation of American Bronze Star Medal

At a presentation held near the mess of the Commander in Chief, AMF, at Advanced Land Forces Headquarters (Adv LHQ), Morotai, eight Australian officers, including three Australian Army Nursing Service officers, were decorated with the American Bronze Star for meritorious service in direct support of Military operations. Presentations were made on behalf of the United States by Brigadier General Leonard R Boyd, Commanding General, 93 US Division.
