Opening of Australian war cemetery Dumpu
Description
Australian soldiers move slowly past graves and reading inscriptions. A line of crosses with troops moving slowly past in the background. Inscription on nearest cross reads reads SX20529 Pte F Heinz, AMF, 20 November 1943. Troops kneel on grass as Chaplain Lynch gives Benediction. Roman Catholic Church parade with an Australian flag flying from pole. Signboard "Dumpu War Cemetery" in foreground of parade. Bugler sounds the Last Post.
