Mess parade in forward area
Description
Men of 2/16 Battalion, most forward of 21 Australian Infantry Brigade, dug in under canvas shelters on hill overlooking Japanese positions. Three soldiers in foxhole at "Berth's Post" examine Japanese rifle. Personnel of 2/27 Battalion line up on meal parade. Soldier's meal in American Army type dixie.
