Labuan bound invasion convoy
Description
On 4 June 1945 Oboe 6 sailed from Morotai on an one thousand one hundred mile voyage to make an amphibous landing on North Borneo. This item covers the 24th Australian Infantry Brigade en route to their objective - Victoria Harbour, Labuan Island. Identified personnel are: Driver W Long, Sergeant Fisher and Private George Neil. Troopships HMAS Westralia and Manoora.
